Fidji Perfume
Many people would refer to Fidji perfume as a classic or vintage perfume. Indeed, Fidji perfume for women by the design house of Guy Laroche was developed by perfumer Josephine Catapano in 1966.
The Fidji perfume was inspired by Fiji Island, which is a Melanesian island nation in the South Pacific. It is said that this designer Fidji perfume broke the new ground for other tropical-influenced fragrances like Norell, which was established in 1969; Charlie created in 1973; and Gucci No. 1, which was launched in 1975, among others.
Fittingly, Fidji perfume is classified as having floral feminine scent, giving a person a light airy feeling when worn. One who has tried the same, however, would argue that there is more to Fidji perfume. Truly, Fidji perfume is a unique blend of scents made from natural flowers, oils, and herbs.

Since it is perfume that is being described herein, it is only proper to talk about Fidji perfume in terms of its fragrance notes. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, “fragrance notes” denote the origins of a perfume’s scent, which give the overall impression of the perfume from the time it was sprayed on until it is left to dry and linger. For perfumes, such as Fidji perfume, Tresor perfume, and 4711 cologne the notes are revealed gradually, following an evaporation process, which starts with an initial indication of the top or head notes, followed by the more distinct middle or heart notes, and ends with the rich base notes.
Specifically, Fidji perfume starts with green-fresh tropical top notes, signifying the presence of galbanum, hyacinth, bergamot, and lemon. It then radiates into middle notes indicating soft floral scents of carnation, jasmine, violet, cloves, rose, ylang-ylang and orris root. Finally, Fidji perfume dries down to the smell of fragrant woods like vetiver, musk, sandalwood, oak moss, patchouli, and amber, as base notes.

Because Fidji perfume is a perfect blend of the best kinds of fragrances, it is only natural for the woman to have mixed feelings when wearing it. In fact, some would say that they feel extremely womanly and sensual when they have the perfume on. In contrast, others would recommend it for daily office wear owing to its moderate tropical scent. In any case, it is said that Fidji perfume could last for hours.
To date, Fidji perfume is available in many popular cosmetics stores at reasonable prices. One could even snag discount Fidji perfume at some stores, whether on-site or online. The availability of Fidji perfume on a red tag in shops does not necessarily mean though that its quality has diminished with time. In one way or another, one would still find that the newer versions still manage to be at par with the original vintage scent.
